j2s: A SUIF Java Compiler

Abstract:
We give a short overview of the Java bytecodeto-SUIF compiler that is currentlybeing developed at UCSB. The goal of the compiler is to support the com pleteJava language speci,cation, based on SUIF 2.0 and OSUIF. We expect to have aversion of the compiler that is ready for release to the public at about theend of \'97.
